We are developing a web front-end to our customer database (MSSQL) using JSP. &nbsp;I am very familiar with Crystal reports 8.5 and 9. &nbsp;I have written many reports for an internal application. &nbsp;I want to be able to easily convert some of the 1000+ reports for the web. &nbsp;I have heard that Crystal has some very expensive licensing requirements for web deployment. &nbsp;Is there an alternative that is similar in functionality, has a conversion utility, and is relatively low cost? &nbsp;I don't want to have to pay $10k for a reporting solution, but I also realize that it won't be just 50 bucks.<br />

Crystal reports alternative

JavaServer Pages (JSP) allow the development of dynamically generated web pages. It uses the Java programming language; JSP pages are translated into servlets at runtime, with each servlet being cached and reused until the JSP is modified. JSP allows Java code to be interleaved with static web markup content, so the resulting page can be compiled and executed on the server to deliver the content.
