MTA[sendmail] to send and receive mails through squid proxy?

Hi all,
can any one help me to configure MTA to send and receive mails through squid proxy?

         ------------ --------------
        |Linux Send Mail Server|
         ---------- |------
         |Squid Server |
         |--------------- -
Presently mail server is using fetchmail to dowload the mails from another POP3 Server and send all mails to another MTA, using alternative direct internet connection.

I want to configure this through squid proxy as shown in above figure.

Please any one can tell me how to configure this?

Thanks in advance,

So far I know squid does not support smtp proxying.
