Hi,

I have an openvpn server (openvpn-2.0.7-1) installed on Fedora core 4 in my office. In my server.conf file , I've given

   server 10.8.0.0 255.255.255.0

so that  server will take 10.8.0.1  and the rest wil be distributed to clients. But how can I add more than 254 clients. ie , when the address reaches 10.8.0.254 , how can I add the next client ?

I am not familiar with OpenVPN but using 10.8.0.0 with a subnet mask of 255.255.255.0 defines your IP range as 10.8.0.1 to 10.8.0.254. By changing the subnet mask from 255.255.255.0 to 255.255.254.0 it will redefine your IP range to 10.8.0.1 to 10.8.1.254 allowing over 500 IP's, by default. Keep in mind doing so requires changing the subnet mask on all devices in the subnet; servers, printers, workstations and clients.

That's true. I didn't think of subnetting. I accept your answer. I've another post regarding accessing openvpn clients through ports .Try if you can answer it.
