JBoss 4.0.3 / Tomcat 5.5 URL redirects

This is a POINTER QUESTION to http://www.experts-exchange.com/Web/Hosting/Q_21892387.html.
Please post answers there.

Summary:
I'm running JBOSS 4.0.3SP1 with embedded Tomcat 5.5.

The App's homepage is www.mydomain.com/context/index.jsp
We want users to just type in www.mydomain.com and be served up the right page, ideally so that they never see the /context/ as they move around the site.

I found a good article at "Tomcat and website URLs/default directories" which I thought might solve the problem but it appears that Tomcat 5.5 is different to previous (context.xml and things) and I can't get that solution to work.

Any ideas?

You need url rewriting.

The best will be to use Apache http server on top of jboss/tomcat, and to use its url rewriting capabilities.
This is what I always do and I am never sorry.

You may look at other, native java solutions.
