Email Address showing up, but no account configured

i have a really strange problem. I have a user that shows up twice in our email address list, but under two different names. It kind of makes sense because the user has two active directory accounts; however, only one of them has an email address assoicated with it.. The other one is just an admin login.
Smith, John ---- This one has an email address with the account
John Smith ----- This one is for administration purposes but does NOT have an email attached..
within the Exchange address list it shows both users... only one is valid and gets email... the other one 'John Smith' does not get email, but it will allow you to select it from the list...
