Is there an ActionScript equivalent of JavaScript's encodeURI() and encodeURIComponent() functions? (If so, what are they?)

I am not aware of those functions, but maybe you are looking for escape() function???

No, I said encodeURIComponent(). Know of any equivalent in ActionScript?

Sorry...  Such thing does not exist in Flash...  You'll need to create your own function for it...
