Creating a document from within a document using an action button

Can I ask another question in relation to the same issue and I'll increase the points instead of moving to another question.

Can I create a response document from within a response document using an action button?

For example, a product form, from an action within the product form.
The main reason is to keep the first product form linked to the next one(this only happens on expired products) and not every product form.

sjef, I read your previous posting, but I want to be able to have that second product form on the same level as the current product form, as their both responses to main.
I don't want this second copy to be a response to response for many reasons. Is there another way around this?

Thank you in advance.

Yes, use a response form, and if I'm not mistaken Notes will attach the new document not to the current response form but to the main document (it being a response form).

No, I tried that, but Notes being Notes linked this document as a response to the product document instead of the main document and what's worse, it didn't populate those fields on the new response which already exist in this current form.
So it is happy to make this a response to product, yet doesn't populate those field which are on the product form and are computed from main.

Sjef,

I got this to work with the structure that I have luckily and without adding any additional forms. What I had to do though for this to work is to change the way I was inheriting the fields from the main doc into the response doc.

Thanks for always helping me with your brilliant ideas.
