I've been using the HSSF java API ( http://jakarta.apache.org/poi/hssf/index.html ) to create/edit MS Excel files and need some help doing a couple things.  I've looked through their documentation but have been unable to find how to do a couple things:

1. Setting the format of cells (such as currency, number w/ decimal placess, etc...)

2. Adjusting the column width (both using the auto-fit feature of excel and also specifying a value of the width).

Any help is appreciated.

Thanks
