Outlook 2003

Hi Folks.

I use Outlook 2003 one of the really nice features of Outlook 2003 is when i goto enter a new email and i select the first letter of a contacts if i have already used that address it automatically pops up with the address without me having to go and look for it, i have over 500 contacts so this is really handy. Thing is if i exit outlook 2003 and go back in it losses the contact history i have built up, is there any way of keeping the contact history.

Cheers

Hi belronan,

This feature is called AutoComplete.  The autocomplete entries are stored in the file Outlook.nk2.  The file is saved automatically.  First, verify that the feature is turned on.  Click Tools->Options->E-mail Options->Advanced E-mail Options.  Verify that "Suggest names while completing To, Cc, and Bcc fields" is checked.  Second, try deleting Outlook.nk2.  It may be damaged.  The file is at C:\Documents and Settings\<username>\Application Data\Microsoft\Outlook.  Outlook will recreate the file automatically.

Cheers!
