Implementation of a database

I have already gave some topics regarding my project. Now, the problem is that my application includes a small database which will have as its purpose to connect the series of actions that need to be done in order to be recorded to a bar-code input.
Besides just introducing and applying db connectivity, is there another function need to be done in order to do this?

So now what you are looking for..you may look at no. of ready samples on net for connect to MS-ACCESS thru MFC classes such as CDaoDatabase and CDaoRecordset....
Have a look at this simple application:
http://www.codeguru.com/cpp/data/mfc_database/microsoftaccess/article.php/c4311/ <==

and no. of others here :

I have added in the application, another function which allows to see the time intervals between each event. My professor told me that i should use a database which will include the macro file that will be saved and the time intervals between each event. I told him it's kind of stupid to create a db for this thing and he told me that the purpose of the database it's not just for logging the actions but to connect all the events that took place with the purpose of recording them on a bar-code input. Anw...i don't know how to explain it in further detail.
I will use MS Access as my db with ODC connectivity because it's rather simple
