Access a hidden share under other users logon
Hi
We recently changed the share settings on our install directory so it is now install$ with domain admin access only.
My question is how can I still install apps while logged on as a regular user example..from start>>run \\servername\install$. This would prevent helpdesk from having to log off the user and log back on as themselves.
if runas can help, what would be the cmd line look like?
Thanks

Only problem is if the user already has any other connections to that server then it will not work stating that credentials clash.
Not sure what would happen if you run, say, cmd.exe as a different user then issue a net use from there. I expect it would be the same clash of credentials.
