Hello EE'ers,

Looking at integrating Lotus Domino 6.5 with Crystal Reports 11.  Not web based - just using Lotus Notes client...

Thought all my prayers were answered when I found a doc on Business Objects website...
Downloaded the Crystal Reports "Notes Report Designer Component Integration Example" from
http://support.businessobjects.com/samples/lotus_lst.asp

But I think it is not current for Crystal 11 :(    Awaiting a response from Business Objects on this.  ( It is referencing runtimes in the doc that do not exist anywhere on my test pc after the install ).

Has anyone got any samples or tutorials on achieving Lotus Notes Client 5 and above  Integration with Crystal 11 preferably ( or something based on something newer that Crystal 8?)

OK the files required for the integration do not ship with Crystal..  Downloaded them from
http://www.globalip.com/error/error.asp

(from page)
The link below downloads the Crystal Report Viewer dll. Please place in your Windows System32 folder. You will need to register the dll. To register the dll, look for the regsvr32.exe file in your Windows System32 folder. Drag the icon for the crviewer.dll on top of the icon for regsvr32.exe. This will run the registration process. You should receive a message that the registration succeeded.

Download Crystal Viewer dll ("crviewer.dll") (0.7 megabytes)

Download Crystal Reports craxdrt.dll ("craxdrt.dll") (5.2 megabytes)

Now I'm up and running!

Yes Sjef !! Tonight is the big game for us V Italy!   I thought the lions had Portugal this morning esp. when they were down to ten men... bad luck..   : (

SysExpert I have some code around that more fully integrates with Crystal.. ie. a subform that has different parameters based on the report + all "parameters" for running the report ie. sales person, outcome etc. are populated into drop down boxes on subform allowing you to a. choose date range.. b. select saleperson, c. choose outcome or leave blank for all....

I am soon to disect this code and try to get it up and running with crystal 11 ( was based on crystal 9 ).  If you find it handy should I post?

Definitely. As soon as you have the bugs out of it.

I collect bits and pieces, that eventually alway come in handy.

Thanks !

It's sad... Australia gone too, not enough tricks up their pouches.

Anyway, our local team (France) managed to win, which is good for the morale. And for the egoes :-))

Hi SysExpert,
Have changed direction, Crystal has come along way since the intergration side of things was developed.  ( 3 version number u would hope so ;)

Crystal 11 is the way to go for us -- scheduled reports accessible via your browser - retrieves parameters from Notes on the fly for reporting.  Exactly what we needed.

Sjef!  Yes it was sad to see Australia out like that..  Good luck tomorrow V Portugal - the Aussies always back the underdog - we are on opposite sides of the fence ! GO PORTUGAL !  ; )
