Well there is nothing to install.
Just download and unzip all the contents into any directory such as C:\sox12181\

It contains two standalone executable programs that need arguments passed to them from a command line or batch file. The sox program can take an existing music file and convert it to a different format or add effects and so on...and the soxmix program can mix two music files together.

Not sure exactly what you want to do.
It comes with a cheat sheet called soxexam.txt that can help you get started fairly easily with premade examples of the actual command that you could enter into the dos prompt.

This program was attempted to be written so it could work in windows but is limited and not as functional as it is on unix systems. In unix you can recompile the program with generic audio device drivers so you can hear the file being played with sound effects and so forth.
