Nokia - ActiveSync

Hello all!

Anybody got any experience using newer Nokia phone models and Exch 2003 ActiveSync? Is it at all possible with Nokia phones? Experience with any special models?

I can of course get OMA to work fine over GPRS and WLAN, but my users want to sync.......... I have been looking at the Nokia website and activesync does not seem to be mentioned. I find that odd that one of the biggest phone brands does not provide this functionality. Is it an additional download/software install available?

Today I have borrowed a N80 from my local phoneshop but can't make it work. Also I borrowed an E61, but I haven't taken it out of the box yet.... Want to get the N80 to work first (if at all possible).

Nokia have licensed the ActiveSync protocol, but that will not mean it is on the phone. It does require support on the phone for it to work.

For most of my clients, if you want Sync, you buy a Windows Mobile device.

The fact that they are one of the biggest phone brands on the world means nothing. They will only provide the facility if there is a business need. They are in effect a competitor of Microsoft's through their software on mobile devices.

Simon.
