I am attempting to install an ISA client on windows98 (4.10.2222A)
The Microsoft Firewall Client installer fails saying:
setup failed while updating Windows Socket 2 provider
I have succesfully put isa client on 3 other windows98's with no problem.
Any good ideas?
I am back online Monday morning GMT
Kind regards

The Solution is.

You may have some other Winsock LSP installed on these computers, which interfere with the setup procedure. You can check this using LspFix from http://www.cexx.org/lspfix.htm.
BE CAREFUL: removing LSPs may have impact on the network access of these machines.

Surely will resolve your issue
