Hello all the expert, I hope you understand my question. Because my english is not that good, maybe got a lot of grammar mistake.

I want to ask about the supported ram for my MSI motherboard.

I'm now using MSI MS-6728 865PE Platinum Edition Motherboard socket 478. Did this motherboard can support Kingston Hyper X KHX3200AK2/1G module or this module KHX3200AK2/2G ?

So can anybody tell this type of ram can support my motherboard or not.

for to check out what kind of ram your motheroard/chipset can support use either this tool:
Aida32
http://www.sofotex.com/AIDA32-download_L9326.html
-determine the type of the supported ram:PC2100,PC3200
check out also this msi site(german, though):
http://www.msi-technology.de/produkte/main_idx_view.php?Prod_id=334
i won't get more links cuz i don't know for sure the version of your motherboard;your info isn't detailed enough
or check out one of these sites too:
http://www.crucial.com/store/listmodel.asp?cat=RAM&mfr=MSI+%28Micro+Star%29&productline=MSI+%28Micro+Star%29+Motherboards&submit=Go
there are 11 different motherboards with the specifications give from you,so check out yours :MS-6728

Note : the new ram module could be supported by the motherboard ,but not compatible with your current ram ,so check out for compatibility issues before you go buying!

more memory upgrade sites:
http://www.memoryx.net/
http://www.memorystock.com/
http://www.memory-configurator.com/

McAfee's Siteadvosor rates the sites as green :so you can surely just use the implemented tools to scan your pc for memory upgrades.
