I have created my application using Visual Basic 6. Now the app needs to be able to run on a Windows 2003 server , using remote descktop.<br />

when users try to run it, windows pops up a message called &quot;open file ....&quot; and users need to click yes to make it run. I assume if I attach a digital signature with my application , then this message will not pop-up.<br />

Question1: is my assumption correct ? <br />

Question2: if so how can I create a digital signature for my appliction, all I need is to stop that message comming up. I do not however want to change the security policy of the server. Is there a way ( may be with windows itself ) that I can create a Digital signature free?<br />
Or is there a workaround without having to go about the digital signature business at all ? ( again no change to server security policies )<br />
