a unicode representation is also known as a string in .NET .. string foo = "A"; gives an in memory unicode representation. As for copying to the clipboard http://www.codeproject.com/csharp/clipboard01.asp includes a pretty good overview.

Cheers,

a string is unicode (a string is internally held as UTF-16) http://msdn2.microsoft.com/en-us/library/362314fe.aspx  you can even use unicode constants within a string by using \u####
