Archive database shows a db size limit.

A user informed me that when he opens his Archive the database inform him that the max. Archive size is 50MB and it's exceeded and he should delete or archive his mails.

He can't see the To field therefore he can't answer or send mails from his archive.

Since his Archive is on his Local drive I don't know why this warning appear.

I told him to create a new Archive and perhaps the new won't show the warning but he rejected it, he want to use his old archive.

How can I get rid from the warning in the Archive?

Apparently, database quota have been set. You can change it with the Admin client: Files, click right on the database, then click on Quotas.

Yes, there's a Quota for him, for his mailbox but not for the Archive.

Everybody in the company has the Quota but no one reported me till today, that the warning message appears in the Archive as well.

I didn't know that there's a possibility to set a size limit for the Archive, too (on Local)

Quota are set per database.

You mean I should copy the file to a place where I can reach it with the Admin client and then I can remove it?

Yes, that would be my way to do it. The slightly more difficult way is to write a simple LotusScript agent:

Sub Initialize
  Dim session As New Notessession
  Dim db As NotesDatabase
  Set db = session.CurrentDatabase
  db.SizeQuota = 0
  db.SizeWarning = 0
End Sub

Straight from the Designer Help database...
