Per the Service Manual the following applies:

8x.YYYY   EIO [z]

EIO 2

"2=EIO slot 2 - the printer detected an error with the EIO Accessory."

8x.YYYY

"Recommended action

1.  Turn the printer off, and then turn the printer on.

2.  Turn the printer off, reseat the EIO accesory in slot 2, and then turn the printer on.

3.  Turn the printer off, remove the EIO accessory from slot 2, install it in a different EIO slot, and turn the printer on.

4.  Replace the EIO accessory in slot 2.

Hope this Helps

Try changing the NIC  but if you can then replace it with a jetdirect 610 card and not a 615 as I have had a lot of problems with this particular model of NIC.
