Hi,
I am creating CD Catalog using HTML, but instead of creating multiple html pages ( I have the same frame for over 40 pages) I would like to have all data in txt file and would be able to read it from frame page.
We already have a website with php and mySQL. The idea is the same, but should be non-server language.
I was thinking about JavaScript, but there are a lot of complications with hacks/workarounds that might work in some browsers.
Any advice on simple CD Catalog?

If you just want to read a text file you can include it in some sort of frame.  Iframe or regular html frames will do the trick.

Granted javascript can not read/write to a text file.

Another option would be to use xml and xml stylesheets.  This way the catalog can be formated somewhat.
