I have dreamweaver 8.  I also have a bunch of templates that are static, with a .DWT extension.  I would like to take those static templates and make them .DWT.ASP without recreating them from scratch.

Is there a way?

You should be able to open the template and re-save it as .dwt.asp with no issues.  In the site definition, just make sure you are using ASP as the server technology.
