Thanks, I did check the print spooler service and it was active. I didn't originally setup the machine that I was having problems with so I guess I took some things for granted like assuming that File and Print Sharing were installed for the network card (which it wasn't!). So I did figure out the problem and rectified it. I use experts-exchange all the time and it is very helpful. This is the first time that I ever actually asked a question. Thanks for the quick turn around on answering.
