I am just starting out with Whax and am completely new to Linux.

I have got Whax working with Virtual PC from a live CD on Windows XP.

I can see that there is a utility called 'Install Whax' but the only drive space on my laptop that I can see from Whax is my Vista Beta 2 partition - so obviously I don't want to use that (it's read only anyway).

I have tried creating another partition (linux Ext2) but Whax does not see that either.

Any help is appreciated.

Israeli Linux distribution WHAX is discontinued . This distribution has merged with Auditor Security Linux under the name of BackTrack ( http://www.remote-exploit.org/index.php/Main_Page )
According to some sources WHAX as a stand-alone penetration-testing live CD  was never intended to be installed on hard-disks. WHAX also have no support for journaling files systems ( ext2.ext3 ReiserFS ...) and has no installer ( since its' Live CD run entirely in system RAM ) .

Thanks very much nedvis. BackTrack looks good so far and I believe that it can also be installed onto a HD if required. The forums also look good.
Thank you very much for the information!
