generatting formatted word file in vb6

hi all,
i would like to generate a word document with all formatting like font formatting and creation of tables.. i think macros are avail to do that.. as i was unfamiliar with it can any one help me ... using macro or suggest me any othe way to do that

If you want to generate many similarly formatted documents, you might want to consider creating a template.

Macros are what Word developers call bits of VBA code. VBA code can manipulate most Word objects using the Word Object model. A good place to start is to record macros in Word (Tools/Macro/Record New Macro). Though such recorded macros do have their problems, you can learn a lot by studying the code produced. You can toggle to the VBA editor form the application interface with ALT + F11

In VB6, you can use more-or less the same code as in VBA, so you could copy and paste the code.
