One of our DC's is loging the Event 2021: "The server was unable to allocate a work item n times in the last 60 seconds." where n is a random number upto 1,000.

I have read lot around this issue.  Microsoft suggest in this article http://support.microsoft.com/default.aspx?scid=kb;en-us;317249 that i should make a number changes.  Most notable is adding the MaxWorkItems regkey, which is also noted in this acrticle http://www.jsifaq.com/SUBC/tip1100/rh1123.htm

I have reservations before implimenting this regkey, as my error message uses the word 'allocate' "The server was unable to allocate a work item n times in the last 60 seconds."  and their error which uses the word 'create' "Server was unable to create a work item %2 times in the last %3 seconds."

Any advise / suggestions is greatly appriciated

many thanks
