I want to turn on webdav so that users can connect to my iis server and attach to shares on a few different servers.
I dont want to install IIS on each file server in each location. That is just more overhead for me.

Is this possible?

Yes, it is possible.

:-)

The easiest way is to configure virtual directories on the IIS server that point to the share on the other servers.

When a user tries to access content inthe virtual director it will actually pull content from the remote share.

What version of IIS are you using?

newest.  2003 server.

I got it working.. i needed to put a default domain.

now i cant get it to map to a network place.
ie: add network place tyep  (https://server.domain.com/virtual_dir )

"the folder you entered does not appear to be valid"

:(

using the web site only.. is ugly, but more important it does not allow editing .. only download.
