I am trying to import contacts with the csvde as follows

contact.txt file:

objectclass,sAMACCOUNTNAME,DN,displayName,proxyAddresses
contact,tsherida,"CN=Tracy Sheridan,ou=testing,ou=accounts,ou=apac,ou=corp",Tracy Sheridan,smtp:Tracy.Sheridan@esp.local;X400:c=AU\;a= \;p=MAIL\;o=Exchange\;s=Sheridan\;g=Tracey\;

csvde -i -f contact.csv

Error Message:

Add error on line 2: Operations Error
The server side error is "No superior reference has been configured for the dire
ctory service. The directory service is therefore unable to issue referrals to o
bjects outside this forest."

Any ideas what I am doing wrong?

You should be using DC elements not OU elements at the end of the DN...

CN=Tracy Sheridan,ou=testing,ou=accounts,DC=apac,DC=corp",

Export a contact and compare.
