asked on

i am doing a swing upgrade from exch2000 to ex2003. we have 3 different storage groups (A, B, C).

all addresses in global address book used to be visable to only mailbox users in each storage group... now everyone can see everyone elses addresses from all 3 groups.
I am only in the first part of the upgrade...i have installed ex2003 on a new windows2003 server after having upgraded the schema in the forest and domain (all windows 2000 servers)...none of the users have been moved to the new exchange server yet.
can you help?

How did you control access to the address books originally? You will need to repeat that process again. Although I can't think of what the prep process did to change things around.

Previous exchange engineer set up originally...i don't know how it was controlled.
I don't think it was the prep process either...i think it happened when i installed exchange 2003 on a new server.
