We constantly need to cut and paste manufacturer's product page to used for our product's description. I am searching for a problem that allows us cut and paste from a web page, then purify the html source before inserting into our DB. The original layout format needs to be preserved to its best. The most important thing will be a table layout for specifications.

We have copies of MS's Frontpage. It allows us cut and paste a section of web site, but it does not clean up the html. There will be about 3 people who need to do this regularly, so the software needs to be a freeware, or a low cost one due to the fact we need to purchase 3 licenses. Any recommendation? Our pages are marked up as XHTML 1.0 Transitional.

I have checked Tidy. Unfortunately a couple of other users who need to insert these records do not know html. They are also not comfortable with CLI. I am looking for a program which accepts a paste from a highlighted web page (not from source). Frontpage does this, but it does not tidy up the code. We need to deal with all sorts of web pages writing in every possible html version, containing every possible errors.

I have also checked Amaya. Amaya does not accept the paste method I mentioned above.

Discovered this little gem. So far it does seem do what I wanted. It is a freeware too!
