justchat_1 is correct re: eBay.

Two years ago I picked up Visual Studio.NET 2002 Enterprise for $90, Crystal Reports $10 for $95.

As long as you are not buying the most recent version, eBay will have deals.

WARNING:  Make sure the seller has an extremely good seller rating, to make sure they don't sell you the software without the license.

I double checked on the seller before I posted... i can confirm it is new in box Visual Basic 6.0 Enterprice Edition with Academic Pricing... If there are any problems the seller willl offer a full refund...

fyi... 'Academic Pricing...' means you have to provide proof to the seller that you are a full-time student, usually a copy of your last report card will work.  If you are not a student and you buy an Academic license, then it's a licensing violation.  

The eBay seller may or may not require proof.

Thats only for the original purchase (to get the special pricing)... this is a resale and at a different pricing option

These folks sell old versions of sofware and do it legally

Microsoft provides older versions of VB if you already own .NET.    http://msdn.microsoft.com/vbasic/previous/downgrade.aspx

It should say... the ebay link is definitley licensed and if its new in box you can usually assume its licensed unless otherwise noted...
