justchat_1 is correct re: eBay.

Two years ago I picked up Visual Studio.NET 2002 Enterprise for $90, Crystal Reports $10 for $95.

As long as you are not buying the most recent version, eBay will have deals.

WARNING:  Make sure the seller has an extremely good seller rating, to make sure they don't sell you the software without the license.

fyi... 'Academic Pricing...' means you have to provide proof to the seller that you are a full-time student, usually a copy of your last report card will work.  If you are not a student and you buy an Academic license, then it's a licensing violation.

The eBay seller may or may not require proof.

Thats only for the original purchase (to get the special pricing)... this is a resale and at a different pricing option

These folks sell old versions of sofware and do it legally

Microsoft provides older versions of VB if you already own .NET.    http://msdn.microsoft.com/vbasic/previous/downgrade.aspx

The enterprise editions at that link don't contain licences

It should say... the ebay link is definitley licensed and if its new in box you can usually assume its licensed unless otherwise noted...
