Windows SBS 2003 - Drivers Needed During Setup

I am installing SBS 2003 and I am still in the text based part of the setup. I have pressed F6 to install an IDE driver and a RAID driver for my RAID1 setup. I have formatted a partition for installing and now the setup has asked me to put the floppy disks in again. I put the floppy it is asking for in, in this case the one with the IDE driver and press enter, it takes the driver from the floppy and asks for the next floppy which is the one with the RAID driver. I have put the floppy in and pressed enter, it spins the disc for a bit, and then displays the same message asking me to enter the floppy. The message is usually something like "Insert the disk labeled: ITE8211 ATA ATAPI Driver Diskette". That is the message I get for the IDE driver.

I have tried doing the driver installing the other way round after I press F6, as in choosing the RAID driver first and then the IDE driver. In this case the RAID driver loads after the formatting, but then the IDE one does not. I have gone through the process so many times, the last time I tried though, the first driver wouldnt even load. I have tried formatting the floppies and then re-creating the driver disks, but the problem seems to reoccur.

Any ideas?

Thanks
Jem

Hi Jem,

Since you are only at the text part of the install, you have nothing to lose.  What disk are you planning to install the OS on? The RAID or the IDE.

If the IDE, only use the F6 for the IDE
If the RAID, only use F6 for the RAID.

Once the basic part of the install is complete and you have access to the GUI of the OS, install the other drivers you will need to complete the setup.

Im installing it on one of the RAID sets so I need the RAID driver. And if I don't specify the IDE driver i get the blue screen of death before the license agreement and I cannot proceed.

I think I've cracked it. I've put both the drivers onto one floppy and changed the OEM txtsetup file so both drivers are included. Seems to have done the job, thanks for the help, I've accepted your earlier answer.
