Critical Update Stuck and MDAC Question
I seem to have an issue with a stuck critical update that keeps saying that it is updated then a few minutes later says it needs to be installed again even after reboot.
I have read a few things and I downloaded a Compontent Checker Tool per this article....
http://dotnet.org.za/thea/archive/2004/08/06/3213.aspx
that basically I ran the first option
"Perform analysis of your machine and automatically determine the release version"
it came back "UNKNOWN" then I tried the second option....
"Perform analysis against a selected version." and chose "MDAC 2.1 SP2"
and gave me the following screen at http://www.tellmehowyoureallyfeel.com/tempstuff/mdac.jpg
I'm wondering if I can just install MDAC 2.8 and be done with it or will this cause me issues with my exchange server.
Any ideas?
