Rasterize option unavailable

I was reading a tutorial which tells me to right click a layer and select "rasterize". I do that and I can see the option but it is not available to me. I opened a diff file and same thing. Anyone know why it's not available for me? I tried going to layers > rasterize as well and same thing.

it will only rasterize if you have text
rasterize is used to make text were you cant change it but other people can open it in photoshop evan if they dont have that font!!
