Immediate deletion of user's mailbox

Hi,

My question is twofold.  Am running Server 2003 and Exchange 2003.  I use GFI Mail Archiver and have exceeded my license limit for mail enabled users.  My 15 day grace period has begun.  I have two or three users that don't need or use email, so I want to delete or disable their mailboxes.

My understanding is that once I delete the mailbox it will still be enabled for 30 days.  Is there anyway I can shorten that period so it will be disabled/deleted before my 15 day grace period ends?  Also, will deleting a user's mailbox have any adverse affects on their account aside from their ability to use any mail functions?

Thanks.

In Exchange System Manager go to the properties of the Mailbox Store.
There you can change the deleted item retention time for mailboxes.

You will have to allow the online maintenance to complete after changing this value.

SUGGESTION:
Make sure that you have extracted everything you need from the mailbox.

That did the trick.  I knew it had to be something easy.  Thanks.
