Pop3 users can no longer access mail after migrating from 5.5 to 2003

POP3 users can no longer access the email on the Exchange Server using their POP3 accounts. I checked that the POP3 service is enabled for their maiboxes, and it is.
Is there some type of connector I have to add?
POP3 users are currently pointing to the 5.5 server in their Outlook client; they are having problems. Exchange clients are not having issues, and their Exchange Clients are pointing to the old 5.5 server too.
I do not want to point any users direct to the new 2003 Exchange server yet.
