Pop3 users can no longer access mail after migrating from 5.5 to 2003

Hello,
POP3 users can no longer access the email on the Exchange Server using their POP3 accounts.  I checked that the POP3 service is enabled for their maiboxes, and it is.
Is there some type of connector I have to add?

POP3 users are currently pointing to the 5.5 server in their Outlook client; they are having problems.   Exchange clients are not having issues, and their Exchange Clients are pointing to the old 5.5 server too.

I do not want to point any users direct to the new 2003 Exchange server yet.

Have you moved the mailboxes to the new server? If so, then you must point the POP3 users at the new server. You cannot point them at the old server as their mailbox isn't located there.

The POP3 service is not enabled in Exchange 2003 by default. You need to find the service in Services in Computer Management and change it from disabled to Automatic. Then go in to ESM and start it from there.
