Multiple POP3 on Exchange

Hello Experts Exchange Exchange Experts!!

Try saying that when you've had a few to many beers! (No that's not the question).

My problem is that I run an exchnage server where email is collected via POP3 into a global mailbox and as a result BCC'ed emails do not get delivered correctly.

(Like this http://www.experts-exchange.com/Operating_Systems/Q_21041762.html)

As a resolution I have offered the client the option of an SMTP feed or multiple POP3 boxes for each user. They've opted for the latter. Do you think multiple POP3 accounts is a silly idea? There are about 15 users and so each POP3 account will be getting checked every 15 minutes, rather than the previous one per 15 minutes.

Oh darn! When I say "I run an exchnage server" I do of course mean "I run an exchange server".

You need to ditch the POP3 collection totally. POP3 will always give you problems. Use SMTP instead - it is how Exchange was designed to operate.

1 POP3 or 15 POP3 accounts, it is still POP3 and still provides a poor end user experience.

Hi all. I just want to apologise for abandoning this question, I wasnt too well. In the end the client opted to stay with multiple POP3.

Regards.
