Java PE notifier 8 - experts please subscribe

This thread is the continuation of
https://www.experts-exchange.com/questions/21798677/Java-PE-notifier-7-experts-please-subscribe.html

In short - if you need me somewhere to do something - administrative help or whatever - post here. I will handle it or will ask Mods/Admins to help as soon as I can. You can use my mail also of course - it is all up to you.  CS is also an option but if the question is language specific, the Mods may decide to contact me anyway.

This thread will also be used for communication between experts also : for example If you are working with an Asker and you are in a dead end - just post a link here so the others can see it and come to help it.

PS: And of course the regular: Thanks for all the work you are doing. And I mean it :)

Bon Jovi.
Quite a lot of explanation and help was given by the experts here - wonder why a B grade:

I was quite disappointed with a grade C for this question :)

mayankeagle,

My first question here would be why not split... Any reason that you see not to have split in the question ( or in other words - what I am missing or it really looks like a split?)?

jeff,

I would agree with that :)
That's what I meant when I said expert"s". Sorry I was in a hurry so couldn't be explicit as I'm on vacation and not browsing very frequently.
Venabili,

Can you be the judge on this case?

I hope that what I suggested there makes any sense.

David
David,

I will check it tomorrow from home.. objects starts to get on my nerves...

Webstorm,

Actually I am one of the printer experts around I believe :) Will see if I can help later from home as well :)
Duplicate questions and looks like multiple accounts unless its 2 friends working in the same project:

https://www.experts-exchange.com/questions/21915120/JAVA-XML.html

https://www.experts-exchange.com/questions/21915070/JAVA-Application-XML.html
or 2 students with the same homework.
Strange thing:

https://www.experts-exchange.com/M_3664807.html
Seems point passing, but not sure. Could it be taking care of these both?
This Q asks about generating formatted XMLs using Java API so I guess it should better be moved to the Java TA:

C grade given without getting back with answers to my questions for more clarification:

Why don't we have a thread to congratulate mayankeagle to reach 1 million in Java TA?

David
>> mayankeagle to reach 1 million in Java TA
Congrats Mayank!!! You're doing very well.
Congratulations mayankeagle!!!
So now girionis, let's go! We are waiting for your 1M.
Bye, Giant.
Thanks folks :)

Give Venabili some time ;-) She might be travelling to the US right now. I don't see her online these days, very often.
*runs in late*

Congrats Mayan :-)

Here's to the next million :-)
Thanks Tim ;-)

Congrats Mayank,

Venabili, could you please reduce the point for the following link to 100.

https://www.experts-exchange.com/questions/21932012/logic-error-in-my-java-app.html

Venabili, could you please reduce the point for the following link to 0.

https://www.experts-exchange.com/questions/21932012/logic-error-in-my-java-app.html
Venabili, I think you should set the points of this one to 0 too:
https://www.experts-exchange.com/questions/21932093/follow-this-link.html
Wrong comment accepted:

https://www.experts-exchange.com/questions/21922708/Deploying-Eclipse-plugin.html

(the accepted answer just tells the asker to either accept a comment or split points)
Holger will be the next one to get a piece of my mind if he continues cracking poor jokes about other's comments:

https://www.experts-exchange.com/questions/21930899/How-to-check-the-password-in-java.html
Hi mayank, no offence meant, but I must say that when I read your comment
>> What about "[a-zA-Z]+[0-9]+"
I too asked myself "Is that really mayank posting this?".

>> As I already said I'm not good with regex
Not really, no. ;°)
Then trying to help in this case was no good idea ;°)
In fact I don't know regex. Since everybody else was posting about non-regex solutions and the author was hell bent on regex, I tried to help him with his compilation errors and then a little with regex. But no matter what - every question has so many comments and sometimes only one correct answer, so do you start joking about all the other incorrect ones?

Anyway, since he's said no offence meant I guess this one can be evaded, Venabili.
It was a VERY incorrect solution though mayank ;-)  (j/k)
I know it was Tim - many comments posted on many questions are so. I did not post it as a correct answer. My main participation in that question was not for posting the correct regex solution but for assisting the asker through the link to Pattern class/ regex, and by helping him through his compilation errors, since he already knocked off my/ zzynx's initial suggestion of not using regex. But since he is hell bent on having a correct regex, I guess we'd all wait till somebody just comes up with the correct one.
CEHJ, perhaps you can help write the correct regex there (I've seen you help in some regex queries earlier)? I have no knowledge of regex but I'm surprised that nobody else has posted the correct one till now either: https://www.experts-exchange.com/questions/21930899/How-to-check-the-password-in-java.html
I think it's too big a problem for a single java RegExp call...
I am back :)

Sorry for all the delays guys - was out of the country and it was a madness ( but I loved it). Now I am back, girionis should start cleanup again shortly so we will be back to normal very very soon
Welcome back...

Been anywhere nice? ;-)
>> I am back :)
That's a good thing. Had a nice holiday? Or did you travel for your work?
Work related unfortunately...
San Francisco and the Bay area, California, USA :)
>> Work related unfortunately

What is unfortunate about travelling and seeing places at the company's expense ;-)
>> What is unfortunate about travelling and seeing places at the company's expense ;-)
Well, my (modest) experience is that it's travelling and working without seeing much.
That's probably what Venabili meant.
He he, yeah I've had the same so far in short trips but in long trips, its different :)
Exactly zzynx :)...And on the company expenses is something different here - they pay the plane tickets and the hotel and they give you dayly money - which are not enough basically for a normal day :) It would be better if they were paying the real expenses but... this is how the law is over here :)

Weekends were off-work but I somehow managed to get ill one of them :) And considering that I do not drive, not much seen actually

However - I loved any single moment of it.
>> they pay the plane tickets and the hotel and they give you dayly money

That sounds like business-visa. Work-permit is different :)
I mean more fun :)

>> I somehow managed to get ill one of them

Hope you're doing fine now.
It sounds like the laws in Bulgaria. You receive dayly money and you can do with them whatever you like :) No expenses are reimbrused when you are back ( except some transport ones)
And yep - it was one of these 2 days summer thingies that get you 40 degrees temperature and so on
Hm.. I am a very proud owner of my first certificate :)) Let's see If I will need more than 3 years again for the next one
Congrats, Venabili. You deserve much more but the helpful person that you are, you decided to help experts in the site through admin and clean-up instead.
Congrats.
If you got 20 points per question you cleaned up or helped with I'm sure you would have a "XXXL Supreme Genius" certificate already.
