dOES SYMANTEC BACKUP EXEC 10D SUPPORT FOR HP DAT72 EXTERNAL USB TAPE DRIVE
Hi There,
I am about to install new External HP Dat72 USB Tape drive on server running on Small Business Server 2003 standard edition.We are using Symantec Backup Exec 10d for windows server. Could someone advice me that if Symanctec back up software can work easily fot External Tape driver or anything else, i should know before i proceed with installation

What I'd worry about is that Dat tapes and drives are generally pretty low quality and don't last very long. I'd use some other tape design.

Thanks guys, i have installed symantec software and when i try to install remote agents on remote comuters, it give me me following error
unable to connect.RPC SERVER IS UNAVAILABLE..
I am not very good with back up Tape Drives, Could you help me why this error message is coming up

Thanks everyone for great support
I have sucessfully used Backup Exec 10 with several HP Tape Drives, One of which was a Dat72 USB. You should be fine using BE's own built in driver, i was!
