Catalina.bat on Tomcat 5.5.17 installation

Hi,

I've just installed tomcat 5.5.17 and I cannot seem to find the catalina.bat file. It's supposed to be under the bin folder.
The reason why I'm looking for this file is because I want to set the JAVA_OPTS variable so I can increase the heap size.

What's going on...?

Thanks in advance
Rowan

What package did you use to install it?

If you download the zip file from tomcat.apache.org, yes, it has catalina.bat.

If you downloaded the windows .exe installer package, it does not have catalina.bat because it is running it as a service and is using the Service Control Manager to start and stop it.  In this case, see the Windows service HOW-TO for information on specifying heap size, etc. (for example, command line switches --JvmMs, --JvmMx):
