i have a XML file structure with many elements.  some elements have nested elements.  It is possible to search the contents/data between element tags of a XML file?

if so how?

a "detailed description" please!

In PHP5 you can most likely use the simplexml class. First try and see if the string you are looking for is in the xml structure at all (using stristr or similar). Then use simplexml to find out where in the xml.
