I am running Exchnage 2003 with a front end and backend OWA servers and when users right click a link on a web page and select create shortcut then open up outlook desktop client and right click and hit paste the link is pasted correctly. Then if a user tries to access that link from OWA when they put the mouse over it adds a https://email.domainname.here/exchweb/bin/redir.asp in front of the link. you click on the link it brings you to the correct link. You forward the email from OWA and another user uses outlook desktop client and it shows the same addition to the link but the link will not work any ideas? I run exchange 2003 SP2 with IIS 6.0

That is by design.
The redir.asp is part of the security features of OWA to stop anyone from using a URL that could cause problems with OWA.
