trying to dcpromo windows 20003 server into windows 2000 SBS domain

Ok PDC is windows 2000 SBS with sp4 i already did adprep /forestprep and adprep /domainprep  i only have 1 Domain controller so i then try to dcpromo the windows 2003 standard server and i keep getting the error that says i need to adprep the domain controller but not when i try to adprep on the windows 2000 SBS server is says (see below) ... what could be causing this?

Is there a way to see if adprep worked properly when it ran the first time?

The new machine is probably R2; you need to run yet another adprep /forestprep from the \CMPNENTS\R2\ADPREP\ folder on the second CD:
Error message when you run the Active Directory Installation Wizard: "The version of the Active Directory schema of the source forest is not compatible with the version of Active Directory on this computer"
