sorting folders in sharepoint

I was wondering if anyone had any experience changing the order of folders in sharepoints document repository.  I have found a way to sort documents by adding a column and assigning a number value to it, but it doesn't work for folders.  Any solutions are greatly appreciated.

Thanks,

Looking at MSDN, it says u cannot specify the columns, sorting, filtering or grouping

http://search.microsoft.com/results.aspx?q=sorting+folders+in+sharepoint+documents+repository&l=1&mkt=en-GB&FORM=QBME1

But when I click on the first hit, I cant find more info on it

Thanks, it doesn't appear to work I am going to try and create links to the individual folders using navigation bars.

Thank you.
