I try to connect with pop3 in my outlook 2003 client to the Exchange 2003 server. Every time i connect, the authenticate box pop-ups. I tried every possible option tot login domain/username, user@domain ..

I logged in the pc with the domain administrator account. I can connect (with pop3) to every other mailbox on the exchange server without any problems, pop3 services is running, firewall is off. Also I can login to owa with the domain admin account.

It is necessary tot use the domain admin account.

The only thing comes up to me is that the domain admin account can't use pop3 services.

I'm a bit confused with what you say, but anyway.

Have you tried authenticating "domain\username\alias" instead of "domain\username"? (note the slashes need to be \ not /)

Cheers,
Kris
