Ssheduled backup

What's are the Do's when I want to create a sheduled backup?

I select Settings-Conrol Panel-Scheduled Tasks.  Under the Task tab in the line Run should be the file's location and name e.g. C:\somedir\backup.bat

and in the batch-file should be the following:

net stop "Lotus Domino Server (LotusDominoData)" /y
C:\WINNT\system32\NTBACKUP.EXE backup "@C:\Documents and Settings\DOMINO\Local Settings\Application Data\Microsoft\Windows NT\NTBackup\data\backup.bat" /n "WEDNESDAY1" /d "WEDNESDAY1" /v:no /r:no /rs:no /hc:on /m normal /j "SAR001A-WEDNESDAY1" /l:s /g "943842cb-49cc-4830-b996-50499d7a428b"
net start "Lotus Domino Server (LotusDominoData)"

I should backup the E:\Lotus\Domino\Data folder but how to enter it?

or should the batch file contain this?
net stop "Lotus Domino Server (LotusDominoData)" /y
ntbackup backup E:\Lotus\Domino\Data
/n "WEDNESDAY1" /d "WEDNESDAY1" /v:no /r:no /rs:no /hc:on /m normal /j "SAR001A-WEDNESDAY1" /l:s /g "943842cb-49cc-4830-b996-50499d7a428b"
net start "Lotus Domino Server (LotusDominoData)"

Easiest way is to create the backup job in Backup, schedule it then copy the commandline it produces in scheduled tasks into your batch file I would say.

If you've got the space to get Notes servers back up and running quickly I tend to do scheudled a service stop, robocopy or xcopy to a scratch disc and back that up to tape as part of a larger backup later, that might not be approprtioate for you of course.
