Hi and thanks for your help,

my question is:

I don't know how it happened that my show desktop icon in the quick launch taskbar doesn't go to the desktop anymore and give me the following message: "There was a problem sending the command to the program".

Could anyone help me to restore this functionality? Thanks a lot.

Here's an MS article on how to recreate or delete the show desktop button, should do the trick for you...

Well thank you Geisrud for pointing me to that site, but the information on it doesn't fix my problem. Following microsoft steps, it is possible to restore the icon but not the funcitionality. Once I press the button Show Desktop I get the error "There was a problem sending the command to the program". Maybe there is something wrong on the registry. Any more help?
