Hello,

I recently had to reinstall Windows XP on a Sharp PC-GP10CM Laptop. Windows automatically provided all the drivers apart from the video card.  However, I do not have the original driver CDs and I cannot locate the video driver anywhere on the internet. The Sharp website does not list this laptop.

Any help much appreciated

Thanks

You need to find the make of your graphics card, and then install appropriate drivers.
Try start - all programs - accessories - system tools - system information. Click on "components", then select "problem devices".
If your graphics card is there it will have a message such as "No drivers installed.." next to it. Look in the first line of information for a PCI vendor number (two groups of 4 digits each). It will say something like DEV **** /VEN ****
Look those numbers up here:

Download the drivers from the manufacturer's website, or from a driver database like driverguide:

Good luck!
