Change in Burser - Change name or create a new user?

Hi,

The burser at the School has been replaced.

There are a lot of tasks etc already setup for the old burser.

Do I just change the user name?  A bit messey with all that is involved. I would like to create a new user and leave the old user intact for about 9 months to pass on emails etc to his new posting.

Or setup a new user and transfer all the appointments and tasks to the new user? How would I transfer them to the new user? Export to an exchange file and them import them to the new user? What about permissions between users?

I never reuse accounts.
I personally think that is unfair on the new member of staff, as they inherit all the junk.

Use the shake the tree method for permissions. Deal with what you know about (the low hanging fruit) and then adjust the others as you go along. There is always some settings that just don't need to be made.

Appointments and tasks - just move them in the conventional way.
