Cisco 2600 not prompted for "Would you like to enter the initial configuration dialog?"

Hi

I need to change the settings I entered for the initial configuration, and read to use (control-break) during reboot, and then follow certain steps.

Control-Break does not seem to work while the router is booting.  I have tried other key combinations, with no success.

I also read that Break might be disabled.  I have a 2600 series router

Resetting the password and setting for inittial config is done in a similar manner. Look at: http://www.cisco.com/warp/public/474/pswdrec_2600.shtml
Are you accessing throught the console port or telnetting in.  You have to use the console port.  You have to send a break within 60 seconds of power up.  You can try it with Hyperterminal, but I have better luck with a decent teminal program.  Winterm, SmartTerm, Procomm, etc.

Also, if you only have Hyperterminal, try ctrl-c, ctrl-d, ctrl-q. Sometimes ctrl-c doesn't work.

Connect further...control easier

With the ATEN CE624, you can now enjoy a high-quality visual experience powered by HDBaseT technology and the convenience of a single Cat6 cable to transmit uncompressed video with zero latency and multi-streaming for dual-view applications where remote access is required.

I saw that the break must be sent within 60 seconds by pressing Ctrl + Break.  Nothing happens though.  I tried pressing just break, which ends in the same results.  I know how to access the configuration menu, but do want to know how to enable Break.

Look here.  It tells you how to enable and disable break among other things.
